"Bertha" is our StepOnePlus machine for real-time/quantitative PCR.
The StepOnePlus can do both real-time runs or end-point runs.
Bertha is connected to a laptop with the StepOne software. It is also possible to run Bertha as a stand-alonge system.
The system has four filters that can detect these fluorophores:
|~ 520 nm
|~ 550 nm
|~ 580 nm
||~ 610 nm
Extensive manuals for the following types of experiments are found in the biology lab's index file:
- Standard curve experiments
- Relative standard curve and comparative CT experiments
- Genotyping experiments
- Precence/absence experiments
